Tips for Effective Communication

Effective communication is one of the most important — and challenging — parts of being a government supervisor. However, team and arguably mission success depends on supervisors being able to communicate deliverables, objectives and goals in a clear, concise manner.

Whether it’s via email, phone, virtual meeting or presentation, you need to make sure you’re being heard, loud and clear.

Join us online Tuesday, May 26 from 4-4:30 p.m. ET/1-1:30 p.m. PT for a virtual discussion focused on tips to help you be a more effective communicator.

We’ll cover:

  • Balancing transparency, empathy, and accountability in day‑to‑day interactions.
  • Improving listening, feedback, and follow‑through.
  • Avoiding common communication breakdowns that slow work or affect morale.
